When you need expertise in solar energy — residential, commercial or utility scale — turn to Independent Electric Supply. In most industries, five years isn’t usually what you’d call “experienced,” but with solar, it’s a whole new ballgame. Fortunately, our parent company, Sonepar, has been in the business for 15 years. So you get the product knowledge, design process expertise, and engineering resources you need to do the job right. Plus, you don’t have to waste time researching your options or spend money warehousing product — we do it all for you.

Wind Power

The U.S. wind industry has added over 35% of all new generating capacity over the past 5 years, second only to natural gas, and more than nuclear and coal combined. Today, U.S. wind power capacity represents more than 20% of the world’s installed wind power.

In January 2012, our parent company, Sonepar, held a planning session titled Energy Saving Week 2012. People from more than 25 countries attended a two-day conference showcasing the best ideas and concepts developed by each country in 2011. In February, on the heels of the conference, Sonepar Canada launched their BlueWay initiative (, backed by Sonepar, to build a community of information and discussion for those interested in supporting eco-friendly activities and creating sustainable electricity.
